The St. John’s Wood Golden Cordless Holiday Wreath
I received the holiday trim wreath from Hammacher Schlemmer for review.*
I absolutely love decorating during the holidays, the lights both indoor and out, tree, table runners, the perfect wreath upon our door and… the train running around the bottom of our tree. Not to mention creating a new holiday design for the mantel each year.
As most of you know my mother was hospitalized for a triple bypass, which turned into an extended stay at the popular vacation spot in our town known as the hospital. Well, after the long stay and the move home, just a week later we were called into action to move my parents into a retirement apartment. Let’s just say sorting and thinning out 50+ years of stuff, was a huge chore. I’m still sorting out boxes and finishing up the odds and ends from the country house.
This has been a big change for both my parents and our family in general. But through it all mom has taken it in stride with a bit of wit and humor to cover up the sadness. Very proud of her and her accomplishments since October 1st, when this all began with an ambulance trip to the hospital for nausea and sweating, thinking she had the flu.
She stopped smoking the day she was admitted on October 1st, and dad stopped the second day she returned home. Both of them quit cold turkey, no patches or gum.
So I thought I would visit my parents and take the beautiful St. John’s Wood Golden Cordless Holiday Wreath down and hang it up for them to enjoy throughout the holiday season. Since their apartment is short on space and storage, the wreath will fit nicely on a shelf in a closet or in a box under the bed to store for years to come and bring them a bit of holiday cheer.
The golden cordless pre-lit holiday trim wreath can be hung anywhere indoors or outdoors without requiring unsightly extension cords or proximity to an outlet. Reminiscent of the opulent holiday decor gracing the residences of London’s St. John’s Wood, the wreath is decorated with golden-painted ornaments with shiny and matte finishes. Frosted in gold paint, woody pinecones, clusters of berries, willow branches, and filigree leaves nestle among dense greenery that replicate the growth patterns of actual conifer branches. Each piece of trim is festooned with glistening white LED lights that provide cheerful illumination. Boughs are made of weather-resistant PVC that will last for years. An automatic timer turns the LED lights on for 6 hours and off for 18 hours, which requires 2 d batteries to power you through the holiday season.
Hammacher Schlemmer also carries hanging baskets and teardrop sconce trim to match the St. John’s Wood Golden Cordless Holiday Wreath.

For those who hang wreaths and live in an apartment-these would be perfect! No cords–no mess–easy storage-what more could you ask for?

Exactly my thoughts too Michele. They are so limited on storage space and yet I wouldn’t want them to feel left out during the holidays. Happy Thanksgiving!
