Schlitterbahn Water Park in Kansas City, is home to Verrückt, the tallest water slide in the WORLD!
Families enjoy shared experiences, such as an intro connected river system that takes them through more than a mile of rapids, currents, and tidal waves. Guests challenge towering water slides and a thrilling water coaster, then ride the waves on the boogie Bahn surf ride. Kids splash and play on 13 mini slides. My dear daughter, and her young family were kind enough to take a blogging road trip for me, on their way home. A day at the Kansas City Schlitterbahn water park was just the ticket after several days in the car.
Schlitterbahn was awesome, everything from the workers to the rides. We didn’t have any issues.
The wave/lazy river was our overall favorite. We even had two brave the newest and tallest water ride, they liked it, but thought it went too fast.
The Raging River tube chute provides an exciting ride throughout a series of rapids and channels. Guests enter through Torrent Beach and reach their final splashdown destination at Kristal River. Raging River is one of the thirteen slides, chutes, rivers and beaches in the Transportainment river system that makes it possible for guests to travel from one end of the park to the other basically without ever leaving the water.
Kristal River is a slow flowing river for tubes that provides a relaxing float on those hot summer days in Kansas-Missouri. One of the best parts is that you can stay in the river for as long as you like. You can enter Kristal River from many points along the river that include chutes, slides and the Kristal Beach areas. Guests enter this attraction without waiting in line.
Kinderhaven is designed especially for families with smaller children. This shallow water playground is separated from the rest of the “big kid” activities and is conveniently located in the center of the park. Surrounded by shaded seating and open sun lounging areas, Kinderhaven lets both kids and parents have fun. Kids will love to explore the Wayndotte Express choo choo train, a friendly frog and giant turtle. A giant fountain provides sprinkles for all. There are a total of nine mini slides for kids in Kinderhaven.
The Torrent River combines a continuous, endless float with ocean sized waves for unique experience. This signature attraction is the world’s largest tidal wave river. Guests grab tubes and enter through Torrent Beach to float through a canyon with 10 foot walls and waves that surge through more than 1,600 feet of waterway. Once guests complete the gigantic course, they can continue circling the river as long as they like. Guests enter this attraction without waiting in line.
