With the holidays fast approaching for most of us that means more than a little time spent in front of the stove. I cook far more during the fall and winter months filling the house with the smells of home cooked meals. One of the most used items in my pots and pans drawer are my non-stick fry pans. I use them for almost everything. Such a breeze to clean and the non-stick feature is a bonus when working with foods that normally stick to the averaged pan.
I received the 10″ Stainless Steel Earth Pan by Ozeri with a 100% PFOA-Free Non-Stick Coating developed in the USA to facilitate my review.
Let’s start by taking a look a some of the features of the Stainless Steel Earth Pan.
Made of the highest quality 18/8 stainless steel with TriPly construction with a shiny polished mirror exterior.
Scratch-resistant coating allows for ease when cleaning, remaining free of PFOAd a harmful chemical used in making traditional cookware.
Features ETERNA, the world’s longest lasting 100% PFOA free non-stick coating developed in the USA.
Eco friendly pans delivers unprecedented non-stick performance without releasing harmful fumes or toxins a high temperatures.
Boast a comfortable heat-resistant stainless-steel handle reinforced to the pan via 3 rivets and a magnetized base for use with rapid heat transfer induction stoves.
The very first thing I attempted to prepare in my new pan was, eggs. Sounds simple enough but you’d be surprised at how many non-stick pans clam to cook eggs with ease and then clean up would be a breeze. This is not always the case. However I’m pleased to say our eggs came out of the pan with out fuss and the pan washed up without a fuss.
The second item I prepared was Fun Pasta Collegiate Pasta Salad. With a “Block M” and “Paw Print” shaped pasta; which included a vinaigrette mix.
I prepared the pasta as directed via the directions on the package. Covering the pasta with cold water and then tossing in 1 – tsp of sea salt. Allowing the pasta to boil of 8 – 10 minutes until tender but not over cooked.
The vinaigrette mix called for oil and rice wine vinegar. I used olive oil, a Tbsp of vinegar and white wine.
Once the pasta was ready I drained and placed the cooked pasta in the glass bowl with the prepared vinaigrette mix. Lifting the pan was sure and steady with the riveted handle which fit perfectly in the palm of m hand. Next, I mixed the pasta well and then placed the covered bowl in the refrigerator to cool. Finishing up, just before serving I topped off the pasta by added in a hand full of shaved parmesan cheese.
The Ozeri pan heated evenly all the way around the pan. I could see the bubble on the surface as the pasta was boiling. Not one piece of pasta stuck to the pan and clean up was done with the flick of the wrist using a dab of dish soap and a cloth. I personally try to always wash my non-stick pans by hand; it’s my way of trying to keep the cooking surface truly non-stick and making my pans last longer.

New cookware may not seem like the ideal gift, but I can tell you right now I’d never turn away a quality piece or set of cookware no matter what the gift giving occasion.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
