Naked Winery is a Family Owned Winery, The Barringer and Michalec families hooked up a the turn of the century and have since formed Naked Winery. We have both Oregon and Washington wineries locates within the Columbia River Gorge. Their flagship tasting room is located in downtown Hood River, Oregon (the company hometown and headquarters) about 60 miles east of Portland on the Columbia River separating Oregon and Washington State. The newest tasting room is located in Bend, Oregon, in the Old Mill District.

Naked Winery produces Oregon and Washington Wines. The grapes for our red varietals (Syrah, Cabernet, Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Merlot) are orgasmically grown in the hot and dry Apple Gate and Columbia Valley regions of Oregon and Washington respectively. While our other varietals (Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Muscat and Riesling) benefit from the cool pacific marine layers of the Willamette and Illinois Valley’s produce subtle and complex wines. The vines in Washington’s Columbia Valley struggle with just enough drip irrigated water to produce exceptional fruit for our big bold Chardonnays.

Tasting Notes

A touch of maple syrup on the nose, this refreshing and crisp adventure-ready wine tastes of cantaloupe, cookie batter and wild flowers.

I found the taste to be slightly sweet with a hint of honeysuckle. I’ve enjoyed the crisp sweet white with BBQ chicken and corn on the cob fresh off the grill. The bottle was a snap to open without the aid of a corkscrew, and I didn’t need to worry about the bottle breaking during transport. The bottle quickly cooled down when tossed into the cooler with the other perishable items for our first BBQ of the season, I know without a doubt Outdoor Vino will continue to be packed during our outdoor adventures, cheers!
