Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract: Nielsen-Massey uses hand selected beans cultivated on the Bourbon Island of Madagascar. Then using their cold extraction process to gently draw out and preserve the vanilla’s 300+ flavor compounds. Which brings you a sweet, mellow flavored vanilla perfect for cooking and backing both sweet and savory dishes.
Pure Chocolate Extract: Crafted from only the finest cocoa beans. Pure Chocolate Extract is the essence of dark chocolate flavor. Perfect for adding to any recipe that calls for chocolate, which will layer the chocolate flavors. Can also be used in a variety of dished such as beverages, chilis, desserts, sauces and spicy foods. Chocolate extract pairs well with tomatoes, legumes, chile peppers and vanilla.
I combined both the Madagascar Vanilla and the Chocolate Extract when preparing the No-Bake Chocolate Crinkles shown above.
Pure Almond Extract: Did you know Pure Almond Extract is one of the most popular flavors used in baking? I truly had no idea. Nielsen-Massey makes theirs with the purest oil of bitter almond to bring you the best flavor results and quality. Pure Almond pairs well with peaches, plums, raspberries, butterscotch, chocolate, maple and vanilla. Also when used sparingly, can be used to accent sauces, custards, ice cream and salad dressing.
Rose Water: Rose Water is a steam distill of rose petals. The subtle floral notes are perfect in Middle Eastern, Greek and Indian foods and adds an amazing accent to french pastry glazes and creams. Not to mention pairs perfectly with white and dark chocolate and mild cheeses such as cream cheese and Brie, vanilla and cream. Blends well with fruits such at raspberry, mango, lychee, strawberry. You can also add Rose Water to elevate sweetened hot water or milk as well as flavor cookies and sugars.
I also like to add just a few drops to my bath water.
