Its time to shake things up a bit, make Wednesday night #BreakfastNight with Krusteaz mixes. Breakfast is one of the quickest meals to prepare, so why not create a filling meal you know your family will enjoy and save yourself some time in the kitchen.
I received a Krusteaz gift package to facilitate my review.*
The Krusteaz story begins in 1932, with the women of a Seattle bridge club and a great idea they had for an easy to make pie crust. Since then, Krusteaz (a cleaver combination of “crust” and “ease”) has come to stand for home-baked and convenient fresh-from-the-oven goodness.
That spirit of innovation continued with the introduction in the 1940’s of the Krusteaz “just add water” Pancake Mix, a unique concept at the time, and one of the products that they’re most know for even today. In the 60’s they spread the word in a way that was as novel as their pancake mix: the Krusteaz Kurtesy Kitchen, a fully equipped “traveling diner” that served up free pancake breakfasts throughout the Northwest.
Over the years the product line has continued to grow including biscuits, brownies, desserts, muffins, breads and more for the ever growing loyal following practically any place people enjoy delicious pancakes and baked goods in homes, restaurants, for our armed forces and they were even the brand of choice served to the thousands of hungry workers who built the Alaska Pipeline.
Our package include the Buttermilk Pancake Mix as well as the Blueberry Pancake Mix along with several other fine Krusteaz mixes.
Krusteaz has an array of pancake and waffle mixes, which will help you create a meal your family will enjoy and bring them back asking for more.
Not to mention (but you know I will) Muffin, crumb cake, gluten free mixes, breads, quick breads, cornbread and so many more. All made with the finest and freshest ingredients, which have been quality tested to meet Krusteaz high quality standards. Which will in turn make you the super star at meal time.
I showed my granddaughter the mix packages and she pointed to the Buttermilk Pancake Mix, letting me know this was the flavor she wanted for lunch. I had her standing in a chair at the counter while I was mixing and readying everything for our lunch. I asked her if she’d like some banana or nuts in her pancake, her reply was… “no, yucky”. There you have it. Our 3 year old likes plane jane pancakes and thats just fine. I personally enjoy adding peanut butter to my pancakes while they are hot from the skillet. Mmm and spicy banana pecan pancakes… yum. I like to add just a dab of vanilla extract and a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg to my pancake batter in the fall.
My granddaughter and I decide to have Breakfast for a late lunch one day. In the picture above you can clearly see I had anticipated her love of “cake” and placed two on her plate. What the picture doesn’t show is… she actually devoured 3.5 “cakes” along with 4 slices of bacon and her orange slices, which were topped off with a big glass of chocolate milk. Somedays she has a bigger appetite than even I do.
Did you know that in a national survey, Krusteaz found that nine out of ten (91%) Americans said they eat breakfast for dinner, with 51 percent doing so once a month or more often. For families , the trend is even more prevalent as 67% of respondents with children in the household say they have breakfast for dinner once a month or more.
I don’t know about you, but I’d rather prepare breakfast as a meal for lunch or dinner because I’m not a morning person. I seriously need coffee before I can become fully awake and almost everyone has eaten by the time I’ve had time to enjoy my morning coffee. 😉 Do you have a favorite breakfast item your family loves? Enjoy #BreakfastNight with Krusteaz any night of the week!
