When do you normally put up your holiday tree? Thanksgiving weekend or maybe the first week of December, maybe your family tradition is to decorate the holiday tree during the week or days of Christmas.
I normally purchase my tree during the first week of December and have mine fully decorated with lights a twinkling along with the reflection of tiny faces, which can be seen in the beautiful ornaments adoring our tree. However this year things have not gone as planed. I’ve traveled a lot lately and with illness, time has just slipped through my fingers. While I was out-of-town during the past week, a gift from King of Christmas arrived on my door step, the Scarlet Fir Christmas Tree, pre-lit with LED clear lights.
So, I decided it was time for me to push up my sweatshirt sleeves and bite the bullet. BIG thank you to my assistant, my nephew which did all the lifting and making sure the lights were hooked up and working!
Upon opening the HUGE box which weigh in roughly at 50 lbs. I found the instructions (diagrams only) tucked in with the tree.
We unfolded the tree stand and placed the bottom section in the stand, and tightened up the screws.
At this point the tree looks a little like a palm, looking down through the camera, or maybe I just have palm trees with sandy beaches on my mind. 😉
I started at the very bottom and worked my way around the tree working my way up to the top of each section; opening and spreading out the branches and “fluffing” the tree. Then my assistant would add the next section and I’d repeat the process once again. After finishing, I walked around the tree once again to fluff the tree and filling in any empty spaces. Which I did once again while I was decorating the tree.
Once the tree was fully together and marginally fluffed to my liking. This was the result before I started decorating and re-fluffing. The lights show above were installed on the tree before shipment.
After a lot of arranging and rearranging I finally decided to call it good. Yes, I did add an extra strand of lights to our tree.* I simply couldn’t rest, I like a sparkly tree!
