I received the Toro 20V Cordless String Trimmer from Ace Hardware at no charge in exchange for my review.*

Our new Toro Cordless String Trimmer arrived in just a few days and in perfect condition. Upon opening the box I found I would need to become Ms Fix It for assembly, HOWEVER I quickly discovered after reading the instructions (yes, I read the instructions) the only tool I would need is a philips head screwdriver, thats it!

First I removed the screw from the shaft, where the guard shown above would then snap into place, after the guard was in place I replaced the philips head screw.

Next I snapped the front guard wire into place on the front of the trimmer, directly opposite of the rear deck guard. Once that was completed I removed the screw holding the bracket in place on the handle shown above. Then the handle snapped on the trimmer shaft just below the comfort grip handle, once that is in place you can then place the bracket back in place and place the philips screw back in place. The handle is adjustable for YOUR added comfort.

The trimmer is powered by a 20V Max Li-Ion battery, which is rechargeable and you can also order a replacement-back up battery.

I like the Toro cordless trimmers comfit grip handle. It fit my hand perfectly, not too large, which can cause your hands to cramp and become tired before the job is done, and it didn’t irritate my arthritis… yeah!

The single line trimmer line can be purchased already on the spool, size 0.065″. The Toro 20V Cordless String Trimmer measures in at 47 inches high after assembly, with a depth of 15 inches. The cutting path is 12 inches wide.

Our trimmer is equipped with a pivoting trimmer head. Simply push the button located at the base of the trimmer, and twist the head for lawn trim or edging.

The trimmer is light weight, therefore it was easy for me to use and didn’t cause me any additional pain or numbness in my hands.

The edging feature is so handy, and the support wheel makes edging a breeze. Simply adjust the trimmer to the edging setting and guide the trimmer/edger right along the walk way.
