What Happens at a #VZWVoices Party, Stays at a Verizon Party!

A few weeks ago I opened my home to friends and family for a #VZWVoices party.

Amongst  the laughter, good times and home style food; we gathered around to discuss our love for the tech deceives we own and learn about the Verizon devices sent to me for the sole purpose of sharing with those whom attended the Verizon party.

We each shared our horror stories of trying to make a call or receive a text in the “dead zone” know as most  our homes in our rural Ozark areas we each call home. You know exactly what I’m talking about if you’ve ever had to find that one “sweet spot” in your home and stand facing the wind with one arm raised above your head all the while trying to make or receive an important call on your smart phone. I know this feeling only too well.

As most of you know I became a member of the #VZWVoices #Boomer team late last summer. While I was in Chicago I received the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD to test and use during my six month run. As soon as I arrived home I started putting the Droid in a test run against my apple phone with service from a different provider. In the making and receiving calls from inside my home the Verizon service won; but only by default. I seriously live in a dead zone. Calls are not something than can be made or received with our cell phones in the house.  The “which phone service” can connect to the web quicker was a hands down grand slam with Verizon service! I can pull up any web page with in moments. All the while my other phone is spinning the rainbow wheel of death… continuously. Texting, I’ve been able to send and receive texts with ease using Verizon; while my other phone more often than not will say delivery failure.

Over the past few weeks I’ve been very sick, during that time I spent a lot of time in bed which may sound like a good thing but after the first 24 hours, I became board and needed a way to waste hours of time. Luckily my Verizon Droid worked like a charm. I was able to let others know how I was faring and catch up on last falls tv programs (I never watch program when the originally air). That’s right  between tv and Netlfix I was able to reduce the hours I needed to stare at the ceiling or watch others come and go from my room.

At the beginning of our party I asked our guests if they had their cell phones with them. Almost everyone did. Then I asked everyone to pull up an app used by most so we could see exactly how quickly or not so quickly each phone service was. I’m super proud to say my brother and I won with our Verizon service.

At the end of our party everyone gathered around for homemade chili and potato salad along with many other family favorites during one of our first cold weekends of fall.
