This week my memories are taking me down the lane to hair styles!

I may or may not have worn the following hair styles; and worn them way longer than I should have. 🙂

Pigtails or a pony tail until at least the 4th grade; then I decide to unleash the power of my curls. Remember this was back in the 60’s and we didn’t use hair product to “tame” those beauties.

As I approached junior high and high school I fell into the feather craze which I continued to wear until long after my third child was born in the 80’s. That’s not to say I didn’t let it become a little wild some days because living here in the Ozarks the humidity can be down right wicked when it comes to curly hair.

I found the big bangs; hair-sprayed with in an inch of life and up a few inches in the late 80’s and left the back of my hair to curl and hang down long until the end of the gasp… 90’s.

I’ve worn my hair short since the beginning of 2000; some days smooth and others a bit wild. I’m trying to let it grow just enough so I will be able to pull it up in a short pony tail when I go on vacation in the spring. Simply because on the beach or on the ship I may not like my hair smack in my face. And let me tell you this is a hard lesson row to hoe for me, I don’t like for  my hair to be uneven or in the growing out stage {shiver}.

What is the most outrageous hair style you’ve ever worn? Do you have a hair style you wish you would have tried? My niece came home with a mow-hawk a couple of summer ago. Bless her heart it was a statement and she rocked it. Me… I would never have the brass to do it.
