Family Trip to Kansas City, Visiting Sea Life and Legoland

SEA LIFE Kansas City Aquarium will transport you into an amazing underwater world! Come nose to nose with sharks and prepare for astonishingly close views of everything from humble starfish, seahorses and graceful rays.

The Children’s favorite activity of the day was exploring the touch pool, combining education, fun and adventure. They all loved the touch pool and learned so much during their visit.

Getting a closer look at the rays was one of the highlights of the afternoon.

Blacktip Reef shark are among the most popular Sharks inhabiting the tropical coral reefs of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, because Black Tip Reef Sharks prefer shallow, inshore waters. They are typical in appearance of how humans imagine a shark to look, and can be seen at our big ocean tank!

Seeing the world through a child’s eyes can be an eye opening experience.

SEA LIFE Kansas City’s Green Sea Turtle, Gertrude, comes to us from off the coast of Florida. She was found tangled in fishing lane. Due to severe damage, her right flipper had to be amputated. With the help of SEA LIFE, Gertrude was rescued and now happily calls Kansas City home!

The children enjoyed the time spent at Sea Life and the touch pool, but they really enjoyed themselves all day, along with collecting the stamps after visiting each exhibit. The staff was helpful and friendly, along with the facilities being very clean.

We visited both Sea Land and Legoland on the same day, as they are located in the same building, which makes for a perfect day trip.

This was a favorite: GIANT Legos! #LDCKansasCity #usfg #KC. Pretty sure she could have stayed here for 6 hours and still not be ready to leave.

Legoland was a blast for all of the children. they enjoyed both of the rides and the fact that  so much of the attractions was hands-on. My granddaughter didn’t want to leave, she loved building with the giant Legos. A day full of activities that kept the children engrossed, is always a winner. I would recommend both attractions, especially families with children whom enjoy hands-on activity.
