Some of you may already know and for those of you who haven’t a clue why I’m so super excited {insert high pitched girly scream} New Balance has chosen me, yes PTF to work with! Can you feel the excitement!
Just to clarify for those of you whom this is your first visit to PTF. I’m disabled and walk with the aid of an arm crutch. With that being said I normally wear flat shoes daily for all my activities; walking, gardening, walking on the treadmill, I think you get the picture. My days of heels are long gone.
New Balance sent over two pairs of women’s walking shoe’s for my review.
The New Balance 928 is developed for ALL DAY comfort. The motion control walking shoe is an excellent choice for those looking for maximum stability. Featuring the ROLLBAR for enhanced motion control and advanced cushioning ABZORB SBS in the heel for superior shock absorption.
Featuring: Leather and Mesh Upper, Odor Resistant, Premium foam inserts offer high density, open cell foam to gently conform to the foot and disperse pressure.
Spring has arrived with the New Balance 1765, which is developed for stability, a medial post located on the inside edge of the shoe to help prevent over-pronation. New Balance will contribute 5% of the suggested retail price of sales from the Lace Up for the Cure Collection with a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000 each year to Susan G. Kormen through 2014.
Featuring: Synthetic and Mesh Upper, 12 MM Drop, Lightweight Rubber Out-sole, Nylon Shank, PU Strobel. The 1765 utilizes innovative and smart design that defines the walking category of tomorrow. Starting with the upper, smart design continues with the key features of fantom fit and a skeletal frame fused onto a thin mesh in the forefoot, intuitively designed around the needs of the wearer creating a comfortable, lightweight, supportive feeling. The upper’s material combination of breathable meshes, supple synthetics and seamless lining ensures this shoe will feel as great as it looks!
As a woman who has survived cancer several times, I’m extremely happy to help support Lace Up for the Cure.
I’ve had the opportunity to wear both pairs of New Balance shoes since their arrival. The New Balance 928 truly provided the stabilizing effect I needed during the long hours spent standing and walking around the hospital recently. The shoe actually feels sturdy when you first place them on your feet. I was able to walk comfortable throughout the day without the feeling my ankles were subject to twisting. This is something I feel often since I do not walk with a normal walking gait; and when I’m overly tired or my legs are hurting more than normal I tend to almost drag my right leg. Which is subject to collapsing at anytime without notice.
While walking on the treadmill I felt I had a bit more balance.
The New Balance 1765’s are a dream to wear. I love the comfort and the nice fit around my narrow heel, and the colors rock! Allowing me to add a little flash to my shoe choices. The breathable uppers have been a blessing since the weather is warming up here in the Ozarks. I cant’ wait to test out my shoes during summer actives and vacation; because you know vacations always involve tons of walking.
