It’s that time of year once again; the cool weather will soon be upon us. For this family that means wearing “comfy” clothes, hearty “comfort food” and family DVD choices. PBSKIDS programming trusted by millions of parents and this grandma is no excepting. I never feel the need to pre-screen a movie before everyone can enjoy the latest PBSKIDS program or DVD release.
Over the past several weeks our family has enjoyed the following PBSKIDS titles; each of which would make excellent holiday gifts or a stocking stuffer.
The gift set Caillou: Caillou’s Holidays features 3 of Caillou’s finn fill adventure DVD with a total run time of over 2 hours. Each DVD contain special DVD features such as interactive games, character bios, parents information, coloring pages and optional spanish audio.
Caillou’s Holidays: Caillou loves holidays, and Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas are among his favorites. There’s so much to do, including picking out a pumpkin, making Thanksgiving dinner, and decorating the Christmas tree!

In Winter: Caillou discovers the joys of winter sports like skiing and ice skating.
In Caillou’s Christmas: Caillou learns about holiday traditions, from caroling with his friends and family to different cultural festivities in play-school.
In It’s Cold Outside: Caillou has fun playing in the snow, making snow angels, and even tobogganing!
In Caillou the Snowman: Caillou explores all the fun activities of winter, including building a snowman, playing hockey, and making paper snowflakes.
Caillou’s World of Wonder will see Caillou through four adventures your child is sure to enjoy.
Caillou the Explorer: Daddy treats everyone to ice cream while sharing stories about icebergs in the Antarctic. Caillou imagines playing with penguins, scuba diving for treasure and searching out alligators.
Caillou the Musician: Caillou convinces Clementine’s big brother Billy that he is old enough to play the drums. At play-school Caillou leads the marching band and learns that singing with a friend is much more fun!
Caillou the Magnificent: Caillou learn about Show and Tell, makes Rosie disappear and with his sister’s help becomes the King of the Castle.
Caillou the Sports Star: Leo, Clementine, Caillou and Rosie each win a ribbon playing some very silly games. At the park, Caillou realizes he’s getting stronger every day and that it is okay that he still needs his training wheels.
That’s three DVD’s packed with fun in one box set! The grandchildren have enjoyed the antics of Caillou for a long time, now we can view our favorite episodes anytime, come rain or shine!

´Twas the Night Before Christmas, and all throughout Storybook Village, not a creature was stirring… except for Whyatt, who has an important question for Santa!
The Ghost Who was Afraid of Halloween; It’s Halloween in Storybook Village, and Pig is so frightened he won’t go Trick or Treating with hid friends!
The Three Feathers; All aboard! Pig and his brothers are building a train set but Pig’s negative attitude has stopped him in his tracks!
The Stars in the Sky; Princess Pea wants to play in a rainbow, but her mothers says it simply can’t be done!

The next PBS DVD brings a big smile to my face. Seriously when the intro music starts the toe tapping can begin. Granddaughter L starts wiggling around and points to me as if to say it’s your turn, dance LeahSay; and of course we do.
Follow the newly hatched chicken named Peep and his friend Chirp and Quack (a robin and a duck) on their daily adventures. Celebrate being adventurous, being curious and for at least one character… being a duck in Peep And The Big Wide World.
