I shrugged. “I’ll sleep on it. Nobody’s going anywhere in this storm anyway.” Technically, I kept my promise, going to sleep with the others shortly after midnight. Then halfway through the night, I woke in a sweat.

I’ll admit it I’ve reached the age of readers, readers for reading for work and leisure. I’m also one of those that doesn’t need reading glasses to see anything far away so if I should glance at the television I will push my glasses up on my forehead or even take them off and we all know what’s coming next, the search for those lost eyeglasses that I only had a moment ago. My children and grandchildren will laugh at me because many, many times I’ve been shopping and straining my eyes trying to read something and they will point out “your glasses are on your forehead”.
