Sponsored post by Victoria Footwear* I received a product to facilitate my review and or compensation for my post.
Let’s start off with a little history shall we, I just love history hence the reason why I love to read but I digress.
Victoria was founded in Spain in 1915 in a small town in La Rioja, when it’s founder Gregoria, had the marvelous idea of creating a shoe named after his wife Victoria; whom he had married the previous year.
Since then many, many people have worn the name Victoria on their shoes; especially during the seventies and eighties, when the Victoria canvas shoe became a essential part of Spanish fashion.
Time may have moved on yet even today the legendary model of Victoria shoes are still being made. In fact every season the designers create new collections to match the latest trends, reinventing Victoria without compromising its essence.
Victoria in available in the US and continues to be made in Spain.
When asked to review for Victoria I was immediately drawn to the Inglesa Elastico show directly below. The classic European tennis shoes are make up of 100% natural cotton grown in Spain and natural rubber sole. I had my mother in mind since she prefers shoes that are easily slipped on and off. Unfortunately I will need to return the pair I ordered and order the next size up since she wears a half size, making the normal whole size 8 too snug. However that does not distract from the fact she is impressed with the style and the ease of pulling on the Victoria Canvas shoes. She may just be waiting at the post box when the mail mans arrival
I really like the tiny, adorable Inglesa Lona Tenida in Rose for the precious little dolls in your life. I can just picture my three granddaughters wearing these, with airy summer dresses or carpi’s. If they should turn up dirty at the end of the day; simply toss in the wash with the towels and air dry by morning. Then they will be off on a new adventure.
As I said above I received a pair of Victoria Inglesa shoes to facilitate my review.* The shoes are well made for everyday wear. The average person would be right at home wearing them all season long. I however will need to pass, and it has nothing to do with the shoe, it is me. I have a problem walking and I need a sturdy shoe with a good arch for support. This in NO WAY diminish my view of the shoe it’s self, because I think they are adorable; just not the correct shoe for me and my disability.
