Putting Moisture Back Into The Winter Air With Honeywell PlugIn Humidifier

Honeywell Humidifier MistMate 525x525 Collage

With old man winter knocking on my door, that can only mean one thing, the heater or fireplace is running around the clock and the windows are closed which add up to dry air. Did you know dry air could help contribute to respiratory illness such as colds? I’ll be adding moisture back into the dry air in our home with our new Honeywell MistMate Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier.

I was provided with a Honeywell MistMate Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier to facilitate my review.*

The Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier quietly produces a fine, visible cool mist that helps you keep your home and yourself comfortable during the dry winter months. Maintaining proper humidity levels help reduce static electricity and helps keep nasal passages and your throat hydrated. The compact size and four fun colors to choose from makes it perfect for small areas such as your night stand or desktop.

Did you know when the air is too dry , your sinuses don’t drain properly. By adding humidity to the air sinus suffers my help break up congestion and be able to breath better while sleeping.

Dry air can help contribute to winter nose bleeds.

By adding moisture to the air while you sleep you may notice a slight change each morning when you look in the mirror. The moisture can help with dry lips, hands and face as well as dry skin in general.

I always awake feeling so dry and congested in the mornings; not any more! I placed my Honeywell unit on my night stand on the opposite side of the bed I sleep in. Once I fell asleep I didn’t hear the unit again until I awoke in the morning.Thats not to say it doesn’t make any noise; I’m just saying it was quite enough I wasn’t kept awake or awoken by the sound of the machine running. And besides, being able to awaken without feeling like I can’t draw in a deep breath has been so worth it.

My personal favorite is the Honeywell Mistmate Ultrasonic Humidifier, Red.*

The video above will guide you through the set up process for your new Honeywell Humidifier.

The video above will guide you through step by step instructions, to help you maintain your new Honeywell Humidifier and keep it running properly, longer.

We shut rooms that we don’t use frequently (and shut the vents if possible). We also put plastic sheeting on the especially drafty windows. We also keep our house around 65 and wear extra layers if needed. Having a house that is over 100 years old can be tricky when it comes to energy savings.

We keep the windows and doors closed for starters. lol you’d think you wouldn’t have to point out the importance of that to people, but sometimes there are those who don’t see the forest for all the trees in the way. 😀

I make sure that I let my kids know the importance of hand washing. I also give them their own hand sanitizes to carry with them to school. I work in an elementary school and have seen kids getting sick almost every day this week because of sickness that is going around, and I also try let the kids know in the sxhool that they need to make sure that they cover their noses/ mouths when they cough or sneeze as well as washing their hands
