I received a Rubbermaid Lunchblox to facilitate my review. All opinions are solely my own.*
I’m not a big fan of using toss and go single use bags everyday. I do find that some item the convince of a bag out weighs the cost. However using lunch box container have and always will be my favorite way to pack a lunch. Not only is it cost-effective. I like to think of it as our family’s way of doing one small thing to help reduce and reuse.
I’ve heard the argument before about… “my child never brings home his empty containers.” Well, I see this as a challenge. Make a rewards system to help your child develop the habit of bringing home the empties from lunch each day. Some children even develop this habit as early as preschool.
Also by using reusable containers I feel you can mix it up a little at lunch time. Add in a few things from the previous nights dinner your child enjoyed.
I feel good about sending my grandson to school with Rubbermaid LunchBlox.
